Job overview

This role provides key administrative support to the Specialty and Associate Specialist (SAS) doctors at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

 

The post requires someone with flexibility and excellent time management and administrative skills to work with the education team on a part-time basis.

 

The role is vital to enable this important group of doctors to have high quality educational experiences

Main duties of the job

The main duties are administrative work to support training events and other educational initiatives and activities for SAS doctors. The post-holder will be required to help market these, encourage attendance and do the practical organisation required for these.

 

The post holder may be the first point of contact for the SAS team and the successful candidate will be required to provide welcoming and reliable support.

 

Once a year, the SAS doctors have an educational conference and the post-holder will have the opportunity to attend and help with arrangements to make this a successful event for the delegates.

To provide an effective and competent level of administration support as directed by the SAS Educationalist.

 

This Job Description is an outline of tasks and responsibilities required of the role.  The post holder will carry out any other delegated duties as required by their line manager.

  • Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) with Grade C or above in English
  • NVQ level 2 in Customer Service or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Excellent IT and keyboard skills
