You must be able to work flexibly as we operate a 7 day service; therefore your working hours could be rota based between 07:30-19:30 Monday to Sunday.

Main duties of the job

The main duty of the Temporary Staffing Assistant is to provide an efficient Trust-wide Temporary Staffing Service; matching appropriately trained bank or agency locums to vacant shifts. Requests will cover all staff groups, using a variety of IT systems including Allocate’s HealthRoster and Locums Nest.

This is a really varied role, perfect for someone that is looking to develop their admin skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised person with the ability to communicate with staff of any grade and seniority. You will also need to be flexible, adaptable and able to work with minimal supervision.

The Temporary Staffing Team is based in Victoria Warehouse at Gloucester Docks in a large, bright and open plan office.

You must be able to work flexibly as we operate a 7 day service; therefore your working hours could be rota based between 07:30-19:30 Monday to Sunday. Some home working will be permitted after a suitable induction period.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • To deal with a wide range of telephone and email enquiries and assist in office administration.
  • To assist with administering payroll processes for bank and agency workers.
  • To process and check agency invoices to ensure that they are accurate and paid promptly.

Essential criteria
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • • Computer literate; in particular able to use Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
  • • Experience of working within a team, ideally within an office environment
